Calvin Jorgenson

PERSONAL STATEMENT

My name is Calvin Jorgenson and I attend Titusville High School.  I will graduate with the class of 2028.

 As one of 7 children, I have grown up around the game of soccer.   I have had a passion for the world’s game since the age of 4 when I started playing on a club team.  I have played with Orlando City since the age of 7 and developed my skills and abilities both on and off the pitch. 

I recognize the importance of success in the classroom as well as on the field. Striking a balance between my studies and soccer is of utmost importance to me. I have worked hard to maintain exceptional grades in my classes. Both my teachers and coaches say that I am respectful, a good listener, and I apply what I have learned quickly and effectively. I communicate well with my peers and recognize that to work better together as a team, we must have consistent and concise communication. As a member of the 2009 MLS Next team with Orlando City, I have helped my team create scoring opportunities and successfully defended against the toughest of competition, while scoring a few goals along the way. I continue to work to further develop my heading accuracy and one-on-one defending.

When I am not playing soccer, I enjoy being outdoors, socializing with friends, and watching professional soccer.  I have aspirations of playing soccer in college and being an exceptional student athlete.
